Andy Gouldson has recently become Director of the Sustainability Research Institute at the University of Leeds. Previously, he was Deputy Director of the LSE Centre for Environmental Policy and Governance and Programme Director for the LSE-Alcoa Research Programme on `Good Governance and Corporate Sustainability’. His research focuses on corporate responsibility and on the ways in which corporate behaviour can be influenced by governments, markets and civil society. His recent research projects have examined the implementation and impact of different forms of environmental regulation, the impacts of `right to know’ legislation on the relations between business, regulators and community/pressure groups, the relations between CSR policies, procedures and performance and the links between CSR and notions of environmental justice. He is Editor of the journal European Environment and is co-author of the book Environmental Management and Business Strategy (with R. Welford - Pitman Publishing, 1993). His latest books are Regulatory Realities (with J. Murphy - Earthscan, 1998) and Integrating Environment and Economy (with P. Roberts -Routledge, 2000). |
